A futurity prospect is a young horse, usually a 2- or 3-year-old, being developed to compete in NRHA futurity events, while derby prospects are slightly older horses aimed at derby-level competition. These horses are bred and trained for the show pen.

Allen Reining Horses is based in Kinta, Oklahoma, in the heart of eastern Oklahoma. We are within easy reach of McAlester, Muskogee, Tulsa, and the Fort Smith, Arkansas area, and we serve clients across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and the Southern Plains.

What training programs do you offer?

We offer colt starting (60 to 90 days of patient groundwork and first rides), ongoing reining development including circles, spins, lead changes, and sliding stops, and a 30-day show tune-up to sharpen a finished horse for competition.
